I Have An Apology To Make

  • well there's absolutely nothing wrong with mentioning one's favs especially to people who share those sentiments or wish to know more about them

the question is context and where and when it is mentioned...like in the SKZ guild duh!!! of course one is going to talk about SKZ

now if one is speaking with someone who doesn't know about them or is not interested in them then that's another story since that's maybe not a topic that person A and person B have in common and thus it may be beneficial to find something that is in common...

or maybe it's in a thread discussing one's favs and if one's favs happen to be SKZ then of course sound off and declare your love for them...

so at the end of the day I guess my point is

    1. you probably don't have to apologise; and

2, depending on the context of the conversation/discussion one might talk (or not talk about SKZ) as one sees fit

  • I have no proof, but considering how much I did this, I think at least one of the times had to be to someone who was not interested, but no one ever said anything at the time (probably to be nice) so I can't be sure. This all took place before I officially joined the guild. Most of the time it was called for, such as in song recommendations or people asking about a time ________ did ________. I am not sure if I ever did it when it ever was uncalled for, but I can look at my history and check. I would not be surprised if I did, unfortunately.

then it is beholden on that person to say something lol

like let's say you and me start discussing SKZ I know something about them and have some songs which I like but obviously I'm not a fan so therefore after a while I might subtly try to change the conversation to something we have in common (BP if I'm not mistaken ;-) )

but I don't think you should apologise for anything especially if the other person didn't say anything my friend?

like unless it happens repeatedly then what do you have to apologise for?

you don't need to look back into your history just ask the person in question did they feel that you spoke too much about SKZ and if so just find something else you two have in common? lol

  • You're right as always o wise one. You are not mistaken, I am a blink as well (I'm a bigger stay than blink, but I still love both groups). Okay then, I'll keep that in mind for the future. I have an over apologizing tendency in case you haven't noticed by now. Sounds like a good plan. I forget the person in question, I was more referring to the forum in general.

thanks but to be it's really just common sense...I'm sure there will be others who are much more wiser than I am

    that's what I thought

rather than getting bogged down in the need or not need to apologise don't feel bad about it...I sense that by merely making the thread that the issue is causing you distress or (maybe not distress what's the word - negative feelings??? lol) and you shouldn't feel that way my friend

now moving on you should post more SKZ there's not enough SKZ on the main forums...go and post your fav SKZ song and tag me... :-)

  • Thanks for being such a great friend on here. I’ll have to do that then. Thanks for the idea. I’ll be busy pretty soon for four to five hours, but I’ll do it sometime after that. Have a great day/night!

  • I just came across this but would like to share my two cents.

I can understand this a lot. I use bts a lot because they are my ults so I know the most about them and they are the only group from 3rd gen onwards that I really know about. I did get things wrong about them since I'm a bit new but I met an army who corrected me and was very nice about it and changed my comment according to the new information. I'm definitely still learning about bts and don't know everything, but I do know a lot of their stats so it's easy for me to talk about them. I have gotten people who got angry with dragging bts into everything (not at me but in general), but I don't know much about other kpop groups to make a comparison. I haven't had any armys really tell me off so I continued doing it but you do make a good point. I just figured since other armys aren't angry at me it was fine. If someone, especially armys, have a problem with it please tell me. If you don't feel like writing it in the forums please privately chat me. I'm really understanding and can take criticism. Like I said, I'm not a veteran to the fandom so it would be nice if armys tell me when I am doing something wrong so I can learn in the future.

I'm glad you understand how I feel. If you ever want/need to know any Stray Kids information, feel free to let me know and I'm more than willing to help you out.

  • Hello! I know this may come as a bit of a surprise to a lot of you, because what would I have to apologize for? Well, I was having a conversation with someone on here (I have no idea if they're comfortable saying who they are, so I'll leave them anonymous for now, but if they wish to reveal themselves, as I suspect they know who they are, that is fine). One thing they mentioned is that it gets annoying when people constantly mention their faves when it is not needed to know or draw comparisons between their fave and another idol unprompted or use their fave as an example to prove their point. They did not direct this towards me in any way, and instead pointed it out as a general thing. Of course I heard that sentiment many times before, but it wasn't until just now that I stepped back and reflected on myself.

When I reflected on myself, I came to the realization that I did that when I very first joined on here. A lot. Probably to the point where it began to be annoying for some people. While I do not know for sure, I suspect that when I first joined, I got so excited and happy that I got carried away and did not realize my actions, which were completely unnecessary by the way. If you take one look at my name, profile picture, emblem, signature or guild badge, it's pretty obvious who my faves and biases are, so bringing them up constantly must be like beating an old horse. Instead, I will work on mentioning them more sparingly and bringing up other groups, not just them. I am a part of the guild so I can just talk about my Bang Chan ranting faves there, where it probably won't be quite as annoying to them. Once again, I am sorry if I have ever annoyed any of you with this behavior of mine and I will actively work to improve it.

Important Side Note: The person I was talking to did not bring up that I used to do this a lot (or they didn't know, who knows?), nor did they ask me to apologize. In fact, no one did. I am solely apologizing because I felt guilty and thought this was the right thing to do. Also, if you do not accept my apology, I completely understand. You do not have to in any way. Have a great day/night!

    :pepewhat:

I feel like you're apologizing for something you never did.

Don't take this the wrong way, but unfortunately, I can't accept your apology, since you have nothing to apologize for.

    BAM! :pepelove2:

Both of you are on crack! Fine I'll tell you: I have a problem with you apologizing for NOTHING.

  • Maybe I didn't do it as much as I remember, which is a good thing. Of course I won't take that the wrong way, you're so sweet. I completely understand that. The bam and the end made me laugh, so thanks for that. Have a great day/night!

I don't think I made this as an apology, more so just I don't want people to get angry at me for using bts so much since they're my ults and it can seem like I am biased towards them. I think from what others commented it's alright to use them when the situation is brought up or if they're a good example for something so I'll continue to do that but maybe tone it back a bit and try to learn more about other groups.
