Is aespa to far ahead for groups to catch up?

    They went from hit to hit and now dct is rising and got that makes hit to hit to hit with got (since it not just them) and they have the highest physicals right now I think kep1er will catch up In physicals but will there digitals be on par? and ive have good digitals but there physicals are underwhelming. itzy are no longer a threat they cant even out chart stayc or ive and stayc are like ive but less physicals

    kep1er is not a threat they had 200k preorders but sold 150k on 1st day that's tragic.

    Aespa is my fave group but never say never.


    It's okay for them to not be the absolute top group anyway. Not sure why non-fans always need to set them up.

    In Korea i do think it can be tough to catch up to aespa. Album sales and international streams other groups like hybengg and jypngg can catch up and overtake them

    They'll soon flop when another big3 gg debuts. Jypn will surpass them

While yes, in Korea it will be a little harder to catch up to them, it's not impossible. Gp drops groups all the time, look at how easily they forgot twice, the nation's gg. So yeah, aespa will most likely be reached and surpassed

    I don't know about being too far ahead, but they're certainly in a comfortable position.

I saw on Gallup, that majority of next level listeners where teenagers even on melon is still teenagers . Cheer up was the no 1 song from 10s to 30s and overall the biggest song of 2016 .     No. They’re not that far ahead. We can see they’re not no1 in all categories and they’re getting competition even in places they excel. The gen barely started and I doubt the current 4th gen rankings will be the same by next year.

    YG and JYP have always been worthy competition to SM


    In 2nd gen,2NE1 totally outshined f(x),and they could even compete with SNSD in some categories,who were undoubtedly the leaders of that time.


    In 3rd gen,Twice and BP pretty easily surpassed RV in popularity.


    aespa are extremely successful there's no doubt about that,but things can always change,especially in todays kpop where the competition only ever gets tougher and tougher.

    No I don’t think so. Korean charts is the least important thing these days and something that can be got by any next big3/4 group. The important thing is international charting which they don’t have. Unless we have an explosive act that can dominate on Spotify/YouTube anyone can be the next big group.
