Will you still support your idols if they release an album inspired of serial killers of horror movies?

I'd rather they make songs based on interesting things rather than boring things.

i love a good horror concept

Fictional killers? Yeah sure sounds fun! Real life ones? They'd have to tread carefully

Listen to Church of Misery from Japan. Their whole concept revolves around serial killers. Each and every one of their songs is named after and tells the tale of a real serial killer.
One of my favorite songs of theirs: Doctor Death, named after Harold Shipman who used his position as a doctor to murder elderly people and making them pass for deaths of old age.

depends on the serial killer i guess but honestly probably not, i guess it also depends on the message they're trying to send...
nicole dollanganger has done tons of songs on famous killers, i still adore her bc she's unique and so is her music, most of which are about extremely dark topics. her songs resonate with me because i've been through some crazy shit but everyone has their own cup of tea (so don't bash!). anyways here are some that are about killers:
(i'm totally forgetting some oh well)
Charles Starkweather & Caril-Ann Fugate (couple)

just because someone sings about something bad, doesn't make them inherently bad. it truly does depend on context.
