While this does bring them a lot of positive attention, I'm not really sure if it will help them much in their next comeback.
Their performances, their energy and their passion on the stage were one of the reasons I stanned 3 years ago and It's still one of the reasons why I'm with them until this date. If It happened to me, why cant other people

I think the sales followed the same trajectory seen from It'z Me to Not Shy. And the sales increased for almost every decently popular Kpop group, as they have been increasing for years and also due to the huge influx of new Kpop fans since the pandemic started.
Hanteo sales of Itzy,
It'z Me: 94,393
Not Shy: 165,880
Guess Who: 238,140
Crazy in Love: 306,206
There wasn't any out of the ordinary increase in sales, I think the sales for Guess Who were as expected.
As much as I like their performances and their performances have been getting a lot of hype from Kpop fans in general, I don't think it will have that much of an impact, as the final product is still music, the performances only complement the songs they release and the songs make a lot more noise than award show performances ever will. A lot more poeple listen to the music than watch award show, music festival performances. And another thing that Itzy doesn't have anymore is being known as the biggest 4th gen girl group. A lot of people buy albums of the most popular groups(like BTS and Blackpink) even if they aren't really fans of the group and I think Itzy's sales before were helped a bit by these people buying their albums too as they were known as the most popular 4th gen girl group but now Aespa is known as that and I think lot of those sales will move to Aespa's albums.
And I'm not sure how what I said was a backhanded compliment.

I'm not saying it won't help them at all but I don't think it will be much. As not every Kpop fan watches these award shows, music festival performances, a lot more listen to the songs they release and the songs make a lot more noise than award show, music festival performances ever will.

still, what does your initial comment has to do with the post tho? like why suddenly this relates to analyzing their success for next comeback. I mean, let's assume you were correct, that still does not deny how good performers itzy are tho? i just dont see the point really of having to like make such negative unrelated comment

"Not every K-pop fan" cares about a group's comeback. "Not every K-pop fan" watches korean's variety shows. "Not every K-pop fan" finds out about the groups' fan content. "Not every K-pop fan" knows about a group's promotion route. Not every K-pop fan does anything. But still there this bunch who can make a difference for any content and that's why all of it matters in the whole K-pop package. Because the attention in one can bring attention to others.
It's not really fair to compare a few performances' impact with a whole damn comeback's impact, tho? I think everyone knows new music brings more attention. But the year end performances do what they need to do.
I doubt every person in these 8,1 million views were watching MAMA live or stan ITZY. Because it was so shared from person to person. And If a few or a lot of these people will be interested in the comeback, It's impossible to analyse. You can only say that there will be some and that's it.

From where do You get the idea people who is not a fan buy an album? I know some people buy albums from a Kpop group how is not their ultimate faves, but they still are fans! I ask because i never meet this type of people. The close i see was some trolls in forums claiming this, but never with proofs. Can you show some evidence?

Sorry, I think I understood this post wrong, I thought calling them " the winners" meant, they gained the most out of these performances and that's why I wrote that comment.

I can already see a foolish bear is pressed in this thread. Obsessive energy . Anyways ITZY the biggest 4th gen gg
They are now backpedaling. The fact we can't even call ours faves winners
What do they expect Itzy to win from amazing performances besides love and praise?
Didn't know performances charted on melon or hanteo.

Made watching these year end shows worth it, each stage has a new dance break, choreo, storyline or remix - often several of them as well. SM should take some pages from jyps effort so next year isnt as embarrassing
