Why do you like kpop?

Music.

You don't, from my experience of listening to western music, get to see this level of freedom of experimentation anywhere as much. The production is much more complex. Lots of genre-mix.

Dance.

Eye catching, intricate choreographies. I love it.

fun, positive, fashionable, entertainment package

lots of high quality content and fandom activities

no whiny, drug addled thots and thugs

also only requires 15m a day to enjoy fully (unlike shows or movies)

The combination of good songs and intriguing visuals.It's a very fascinating production and landscape

and ofc there's hot people

It's more of an addiction than love.

I find it more inspiring and creative (by my preference) than other music I've listened to in the past. I love the artistic concepts, videos, choreographies, lyrics and messages. There's something for everyone. Plus they put a lot of work into storylines which is something I don't find as much with music outside of kpop.

I guess I just like how it sounds? Just like I'm not too fond of EDM not because it's not good but because I just don't get any urge to listen to it, same with some indie pop sounds

It‘s the music and the rest of kpop (dances and more) are “nice to have“. I love upbeat and experimental songs and K-Pop offers a lot of different variety of those. Also, I love when several people sing a song

I really like the sound of Korean when it’s sang/sung/ in song ?? idk how to say that

I enjoy seeing beautiful people

Catchy music and performances + choreo etc

I also like the fact in kpop they focus more on comeback concepts

The music. Its like a breath of fresh air imo.

And the kpop industry itself. At least for the good part. The dancing and singing, the shows, behind the scenes, real day in the life and more. The way they do stuff is like no other.

I would be lying if I didnt say the idols attracts me the most. I like pretty people.

• It’s fun

• It’s in a language I don’t understand so I can rewrite the lyrics in my head to however I like.

• The visual/ aesthetic orgasm - it’s a whole show.

• Other material from the artist beside music. It’s like I’m watching wholesome reality show about people I actually care about.

• It doesn’t take itself too seriously.

• It’s a bit different than American pop music, but I still find familiar bits and pieces.
• It’s a good mixture between Western and Eastern music, with a dash of experimental and weirdness (that I love)

I like the music.

The music and because my daughter happened to get me into it. I don't think I could ever stop listening to it even though some would consider me too old to be listening to it in the first place.

it's a combination of everything from the music, dance, rap to the amount of content (free as well) that groups put out

the personalities of the members (from what they show us) and the interactions between group members and occasionally between groups...

BLACKPINK.

Initially it was catchy music that felt like it had meaning and emotion. Most western music just felt like noise to me. Even slower, more ballad songs didn't convey a lot of emotion to me, even though i understood the lyrics. But when i listen to some kpop songs, without reading or understanding the lyrics i can just "feel" it if you know what i mean. I think its something very powerful that they can break a language barrier and convey something

Something else that caught me was the sheer work ethic that idols/trainees have. It legitimately got me to try harder in my studies. "if they can work and practice from dawn till midnight, i can study for a few hours" and that's something i have carried through my degree. It has genuinely increase my work ethic and mentality.

Then you know... good looks, amazing dancing, grand performances, alot of extra content away from performances and music is a nice bonus lol, there is nothing like this anywhere else and im happy i found and embraced it
