Lets all be honest here lol! As a kid, I would ALWAYS check my parents closet to try to see what they got me for Christmas. I tried again this year, but I couldnt find anything for me, only my siblings

No, but I did freak out when my mother let it slip I was getting Doc Martens boots one year because she saved enough and my sneakers were like 2 years old
I have a cheesy photo of me holding them crying happy even 
but did I ever peek no, cause I usually helped wrap them when my mom was at work so there was no peeking needed I just knew what everyone got because I was oldest and wrapping all of it I usually did not get much for holidays or birthdays being head of household outside of her, when I was home and not in foster care, but looking back it does not matter cause as long as my siblings did not know how much we were struggling and were happy it is all good

I tried to but I never was able to find my Mom's hiding places for gifts LOL. She only ever wrapped them on Christmas eve!

I've always been pretty sneaky so I was good at getting an express look at my presents. Even when they told me to go play somewhere else in the store while they went shopping I'd sneak my little way over there. Never once got caught

But it was back in 7th grade, I think. I know it was either 6th or 7th grade. I only have that pair and a pair that used to be my moms 20 or something years ago

I got them in 8th grade but it was like the best thing ever, they lasted until after I graduated college too which was amazing
