Are people really watching MAMA this year only for the awards?

I think you're wrong there coz I don't think live count went below 100k throughout the show. It peaked with Stray Kids performance at 170k+ but it was always above 100k throughout.

Most ARMY don’t watch MAMA this year (including me). I guess some tuned in for daesang announcements.. I just wait here in akp lol.

I’ve watched itzy’s fantastic performance on YT though.. will check out TXT and aespa’s later too

Tbh the views count at the start was 170k something but then it went down after the multiple lags and breaks.

There were 2 official livestreams for the award show. One on M2 and one on the main MNEt YY channel.

I think on the main MNET channel it was like you said, the one on M2 was on 65k during the SKZ performance so maybe OP is talking about that one

in Itzy performance there were already about 130k people

Nope when aespa performed there were 140K on yt, when skz performed there were around 170K on yt..

they dropped at swf performance cause kpop fans left.. swf hype is more local than international so it makes sense

it was around 14k only one point, when all kpop performances were over.. you just tuned in after the major awards amd after all kpop performances were over..

What channel were you watching on?

I don't think the M2 one went below 50k anytime. I didn't track whether it went up during the end though. I think it was consistent 50k-60k throughout.

And the M2 channel was working without any lags too unlike the other mnet channel.

Our standards are different then. BTS really ruined my perception of great numbers ig
