Dance - Taehoon, Changsun, Sunghyuk, Jaejun, Jueon

Rap - Gunwook, Jisung, Yoonho, Hyunwo

Nothing's officially decided yet haha, we still got the online vote left, but Taehoon, Chansung, Jooan, Sunghyuk and Jaejun are this close to a guaranteed debut spot. While it would take a smaller miracle for Yoonho, Kijoong, Jueon, Hyunwoo and Gunwook to make the lineup. Jaeeok is in a tough spot too. Jisung, Junhyeop and Hyunyeop are 50/50-ish.

I think what happened on the show really did a negative number

on Junyong, shortly after getting stupidly booted off he enlisted

in the military way earlier than i would have expected.

Yoonho won't make it. He's ranked at the bottom both according the points they collected throughout the competition and online votes. I thought he would be popular with viewers but apparently not.

Ohhh... I didn't think it was that big of a deal... I was sad Yuri didn't make it but that was the concept of the show. They did a two day segment and the top 1/3 got to stay. I guess the idea was the choose the best of the best, narrow it down, and focus on a smaller group.

It's basically the same as a lot of survival shows. Like Kpop Star or The Voice. Contestants on those shows probably have even worse odds.

Maybe... eliminations are always cruel but honestly this way they were at least not wasting people's time. Compare it to GP999. The Chinese and Japanese contestants flew in from another country, spent weeks filming and then a shit tone of them only got 3 seconds of screentime. Coming in for two days, do a couple of activities, learn the result and then be done with it, sounds much smoother imo.

And this show isn't popularity based and was taking place in nature. Providing accommodations for 45 people while outside and also putting together tests for all of them would be a headache to organize for a longer time period.

They did agree to be on the show. If they weren't up for it, or didn't think they needed it, they wouldn't have been there.

A lot of the people competing had already debuted at some point (about half of the top 14 I think), not only the ones you are mentioning, and they couldn't all stay in the competition (or get special treatment compared to the ones who hadn't), that's not the way it works. It's sad that the industry is so over saturated with tons of groups who never have any real success but that isn't the shows fault. They weren't treated as beginners, but contestants. They weren't there as guest stars, but for a chance to (re)debut.

I personally just don't like what they did on that episode, and I would have watched it for the other 2 and ayno but what happened with the other 2 made me just lose all interest. i still do not understand why all 3 did that to themselves unless they just wanted something to do since Noir hasn't done anything for a year, JXR practically disbanded and with half of VAV enlisted they aren't doing much either. It just really upset me what happened like that and I really am a fan of all 3 idols especially noir. So i'm a bit bitter. Also Junyong seemed to take it really hard based on posts he did and other things he wrote especially in the letter about him enlisting, than he created that song i posted the day he enlisted. He seemed defeated and upset with himself and that tore me to pieces.

also i did see a ton of articles and things on social media acting like these 3 idols in particular were trainees who never debuted before which made 0 sense to me as VAV isn't that nugu, i guess noir could be considered nugu and Park Yuri is quite popular, but I think his popularity rose in Imitation which came out right before the show.

I can understand that. I've been following Yuri since P101 and he was one of the main reasons I started watching it. It felt awful when he didn't make it further than he did and his career being so unclear.

I was just trying to see why you disliked the show so much. It only being because more than the average number of contestants were eliminated early on seemed a bit weird.

I haven't really read any articles about the show so I haven't seen what you're referring to. But survival shows usually don't differentiate between already debuted idols and trainees when posting profiles etc.

no, it wasnt due to all the contestants, just how they executed that eposode. I felt like that wasnt enough time for people to see their true talents. Plus how badly it appeared to effect Junyong who is 1 of 3 of my biases in Noir. Really added fuel to the fire and tore at my heart strings. I hold grudges lol.

There are definitely a lot of contestants that weren't able to show all they got and ended up eliminated. I suppose I didn't see it as that big of a deal because there are similar systems on other survival shows I've watched. On The Unit the first 2-3 episodes were auditions. They all came in, waited for their turn to perform (which for some were like the whole day), got evaluated by a panel+audience, and then they either passed or got eliminated. If they were eliminated the didn't appear on the show again.

Idols need to be greedy. Even if we think they're amazing they might want more.
