In the end Somi is the real winner of P101 not Chungha

honestly i must say i`m shocked Somi is now beating Chungha, but i`m happy for her since her latest songs have been really good.. Chungha is still fine tho she just needs to think about her title tracks better, whoever chose Bicycle as the lead title track after quite a few good songs she put out thru the year must have been on drugs

For soloists without fandoms, they live or die by the GP and each individual song is basically hit or miss. Except IU of course lol. Paul Kim apparently had more than one national hit yet i feel like i've seen him flop a million times already. You're only as good as your last song.

Both roller coaster and gotta go are certified platinum.

Also snapping (#2), gotta go (#2), roller coaster (#6) all peaked higher in gaon than dumb dumb (#8)

Problem is all those Chungha songs are 2-3 years old. I cant remember if any of her recent songs have even reached top 50 on Melon Daily or 24 Hours chart. Although that Dream of You song was paid dust, it was a great song.

chungha is making flop music while somi is the 5th member of blackpink. So clearly Somi's doing something right. Don't know what nonsense chungha is doing...just bad music and snooze fests on her part. Same with Sunmi.

Chungha and Sunmi have fallen off pretty hard in recent years tbh

For soloists, the standard is IU, otherwise everyone is only as successful as their latest release.

Which for the moment is Somi.

Given that Somi was popular even before 101, her track record so far has been underwhelming.

In kpop music, Chungha has been the most successful of the 11.

In general, Sejeong.

If Somi does manage similar success, frequently in the next 2-3 comebacks, then we can reassess.

They're both at different points in their career. Somi's just really starting to find her footing as a soloist while Chungha is established and has released several hits.

If you want to decide who the true "winner" is you should wait and look at both their careers in the long run because we don't know if Somi will continue her success or will "fall off" faster than chungha.

I think Chunga is a more charismatic live performer and has a pretty voice color.
