Will IVE be the first group to break the "Produce Curse"

better start with shxt and end with gold. a perfect example on blackpink and aespa.
i saw it, she's 14, right? a lot of idols started at this age i don't understand what the storm is about. or maybe otherwise, I get it, but it's nothing new in kpop and people need to stop.
I just hope that the company will not treat her like a mature woman, because it is dangerous for her.

Blackpink and aespa come from big3, big3 groups pretty much always get hate when they debut because they gather a lot of attention and have big shoes to fill. It's not comparable to non big3 groups. BTS is the biggest bg and they only actually started getting hate around 2016 when they started growing at insane pace.
Yeah I don't even think the age gap between her and the other members is that big, its like 3 years or something. Wonyoung herself debuted around the same age. I get that people might be uncomfortable about a child in the kpop industry, but the hate and ostracism is so dumb and unecessary. But the concern is valid. I hope Starship knows what they're doing and handle things well.

I hope so and I imagine them doing avant garde photoshoots.

I think they could. Starship has done relatively well over the years with getting their groups to a solid B tier status. They're never in contention for the top group of their generation, but no one can deny that Monsta X, Boyfriend, Sistar, and K.Will have/had solid fanbases. WJSN and Cravity can get there too, I think, and IVE seems poised to be better off than both of them.

If SSE manages to replicate Sistar's relevancy in SK with Monsta X's success in the west and combine both in IVE then this gg might end up becoming SSE's biggest group.
Like damn imagine if they get consecutive number #1s like Sistar and simultaneously chart on bbtop5 like MX? That would be freaking massive.

Indeed, the biggest indicator was Eleven's spotify streams, it beat every produce debut on the platform by a mile
