nah I got into Kpop through an OST then SJ varieties. Varieties with beautiful people doing music were what made me feel like Kpop was a whole new world.

If I was attracted by their beautiful live vocals I would have stayed with western artists who actually sing more live than K-pop artists.

Now, i can’t tell you the last time i watched an performance video. In my new stan days, i probably watched every single SVT performance for Mansae.

Now usually just a M/V is fine for me. I went from loving the spectacle of kpop to loving the music.

I had no idea how big role dancing was once I got into Blackpink, but once I check some dance practice videos, I was so amazed at how good dancers they were. I respect all the effort they do for dancing.

Performance was what made me interested

But I stayed for both music and performances

At this point even if there is no performance I would still listen to kpop
