I'm a fan who does appreciate music quality judging by some of the groups I have stanned over the years - SJ, SHINee etc. I know a good song when I hear one and have always considered myself to have good taste in music. You only have to look at my CD collection to see that and my daughter has inherited the same taste as me, not so much in K pop but mainstream especially 80's as I grew up with such music. I know some of my fellow fandoms don't always like the same songs as me and vice versa but that's ok.

People should stop bashing songs they didn't listen. This would solve a lot of the hate. Then yea stop ranting about songs you don't like, do not talk about it.

So, as stated in the title i think kpop music quality is truly underappreciated within ourselves and I'll say why!

- some kpop fans tend to think their faves are the best, right? Right! But in the same sentence they dismiss the whole kpop bc well, "my faves release better songs and should be worshipped!"

- some kpop fans think kpop is a competition so even though they think a song is cool, they don't say it.. they start a whole hate party and starts bashing the songs just bc they are full of hate towards the idols... Etc etc etc

I could say more, but I'm lazy and i think you guys understood my point

Atp we are in the COMPETITION phase so unfortunately kpop is underappreciated a lot by fans bc of fanwars, useless fights and not having an open mind to explore more or to at least see that something different doesn't mean bad.

POV: i love how i discovered so many great songs in kpop and i appreciate the concepts, how different it sounds and many more so quality was never a problem for me. But it was a surprise to see how so many have this mindset that "my faves are so much better that yours faves music is shit compared to it"... Super strange and unnecessary... So yes, to me kpop music quality is underappreciated by a lot of kpop fans..

Disclaimer: no, I'm not generalizating. Great if you never saw this situation, but i saw and it's exhausting and repetitive. My opinion so yes. And don't need to name groups or being shady... I'm just saying that quality is an individual opinion that is being used for a hate agenda.

The problem is there are so many immature fans on here...both sides of the spectrum. If you don't like something just say you don't like it, explain, then stop. You don't need to insult people, their tastes, and the artists themselves. Even going as far as creating threads on groups you don't even follow or like.

On the other hand, it's a 'hate' crime when you do speak about your opinion and/or facts about someone else's fave (like music genres) and the kids whine about it.
