its their FIRST FULL ALBUM ever as a group,JYP should treat it like a big event. Its not the same as other comeback because this is FULL ALBUM. Public variety show appearance is very important but i dont see them on Amazing Saturday, Knowing Bros, MMTG, Radio Star or even Running Man. Come on, JYP is a household name there he can easily booked the show for the girls. It sounds greedy but that's what a group will do for their first full album.

I know they went to some of the show during MITM promo but still this is their first studio length album it should be treated like a big event not just "another comeback"

They should have probably gone and promoted somewhere I agree ITZY are also funny.

Their shorter view was fun, even though I don’t Stan them. I watched it. Also it really isn’t that easy booking spots on variety shows, normally it’s the producers reaching out to ask idol groups not the other way round.

true and whilst I can agree with that but we truly don't know if JYPE tried or not right I mean Itzy are still on a lot of other promotions like Wendy's radio show, hello82's thingy, Rain's season B thingy, cosmos thingy and more...so even if they didn't end up getting those "prime variety shows" it's not like they weren't on anything...

I do feel like for 4th gen groups, they are doing more content that is based on YouTube instead since that’s also where they core audience is at. Thus it really could be a marketing type of deal. But also itzy really didn’t promote much nonetheless

see it ultimately depends on what you consider promotion... like for example if you compared it to say Lisa levels of promotion? then Itzy would be considered promoting like crazy no? lol

I mean they were promoting even on inkigayo yesterday (KST) right? and they've performed on music shows for like ever since loco was released no?

I mean it circles back to what it means to promote???? if you are referring to promoting on Korean television then maybe I can agree with you there but like you mentioned maybe that's not their core audience/target...maybe it's better to promote on YT instead

hmmm I dot really consider going onto music shows as promotion. I guess I am also only looking at 'successful' promotions, which are promotions that has reached non fans. I guess they did promote quite heavily by your definition then

ahhh gotcha...so you only consider promotions to their non-fans promotions - so basically things that are targeted towards either the Korean public as a whole or foreign targets then...

so something like Twice performing on Jimmy Fallon or Aespa's upcoming performance on Kelly Clarkson?

well to me all promotion is promotion but whether that's successful or not...I'm sure the marketing team of most competent kpop companies will have that metric
