Is this true or false? I always wondered about this in the not just asia but in the music industry as a whole.
"boy bands are remodeled, girl groups are replaced"

remodeled?
somehow this might be bit true because of military service...
some groups are re-united in full squad after 4-5 years so people are used to the fact that boy groups promote less during this time, or without 2-3 members...
as for girl groups well, you have APink, Mamamoo also renewed deal, Oh My Girl will probably renew as well...
about replacements mhm... until now it usually happened in YG,
with JYP we can say it isn't happening anymore because they have Twice, ITZY, JYPn will debut in feb 2022, and they already also have NiziU for jpn market,
with SM we will see how things will play out with RV, will they be another group which won't announce disbandment, but members will just continue careers 99% focusing on solo activities under either SM or different labels?

There’s definitely a kernel of truth in it. Men are ‘allowed’ to age as they are seen to gain more gravitas and become more handsome because of that. Girls are seen as past it by the time they’re in their late twenties, partly because it is assumed they must want or need to go off and become mothers, partly because society still fetishises super young women as the apex of female attractiveness.

Unfortunately what you said is correct.

For kpop I would say this is fairly accurate as I don't know muich about western pop groups(they just end generally at a normal time and do who knows what).
