Why do I feel like Super Junior were more popular than EXO?

Personally among the public yes, as 2nd gen groups seem like they were everywhere on Korean shows, fandom wise idk.

I mean, given you're a 2nd gen, you're probably more exposed to suju than EXO, thus have a bigger image of them.

No idea, I was too late to see how big Super Junior was, I walk right into the middle of them enlisting and I've only seen EXO at their peak and subsequent travel to military hiatus and post-peak so I can't give you that answer. All I know is that both seems to be doing fantastically.

both groups are great 3rd gen has more popularity but suju has participated in many shows and is still popular

All I know is Suju were like the #1 boy group when I first got into Kpop. It was SNSD vs. 2NE1 and Super Junior vs Big Bang

Exo had a higher peak and bigger fandom, but suju has had over a literal decade to establish themselves among the general public, so only time will tell if exo can maintain relevancy in the public or if they will fall off the radar.

I don't know how to compare them, but Super Junior is an interesting group. A big group that after 16 years has mostly members known among the gp? Truly iconic.

Sometimes I feel like Super Junior is underestimated, ifans act like they doesn't exist or are relevant, but even 4th gen fans can name some of the members.
