overall?
Sailor Moon - I remember when I was in elementary school in the late 90s the DiC version used to come on at like 5AM and I would set my alarm to watch it. I legit still remember the episode of season 1 where Serena/Usagi finds out Tuxedo Mask's identity and losing my mind extremely quietly because my mom was asleep.
the first that I watched and knew it was anime?
Inuyasha - when I was in high school I was in a summer program and stumbled across the adult swim block while flipping channels. I didn't realize that it was actually Cartoon Network until about a month later when I went home and found it on my own TV. I watched a really early episode of Inuyasha (like super early I believe I found out later it was the first episode after Miroku was introduced) and I ended up watching it for like two weeks and then joined the adult swim message board and had my whole world opened to anime.

Most definitely Pokemon. But that was kind of every kid's guilty pleasure.
When I actually got into anime, it was Sailor Moon because I heard a lot about and picked up some manga of it in my 5th grade school library.

Doraemon because it's on TV
Ansatsu Kyoushitsu by initiative

My first anime was the movie "The Shape of the Voice. Quite a difficult anime to watch for the first time. The theme of the anime is not childish at all (disability, suicide and child cruelty). But it's not hard to watch. There are, of course, a couple of dramatic moments. But they eventually flatten out. And the film does not leave a heavy feeling in the soul - on the contrary. The main character's emotions are very interestingly portrayed this. He grows up and realizes all of his actions. And he understands that this is wrong but he also has problems on the psychological side. That's what I liked best. I fell in love with anime because of this movie.

The Shape of the Voice is a very deep and relatable movie. I'm super happy it came out as well as it did because the topics it handles deserve to be treated with respect and care.

Digimon I guess. Too old to remember.
I also think my first Anime was Digimon
-
Dragonball
-
I believe it was Pokemon or Digimon. I don't know because it was a long time ago.
-
-
Technically Pokemon, but I really got into it after watching Sailor Moon.
-
-
One of these:
Sailor Moon
Dragon Ball Z
Pokรฉmon
I didn't really follow along with the plot for any of these, though. I was a kid, so I watched whatever got my attention and was more interested in the Pokรฉmon toys than the show.
In middle school, I tried to get into Naruto because it was popular among my classmates, but it wasn't for me.

Hmm either Sailor Moon or Pokemon
