They put all the Disney songs as YouTube Kids.

And now I can't go and see all the comments

If I can't go and find comments about how:

"This song changed my life"

"OMG THIS SONG IS MAGIC!"

And college essays on why this Disney movie and song are the pinnacle of humanity.

What the hell is the point of the world then?

They really fucked up something I didn't know I needed in my life until it was gone.

Being able to see YouTube comments on my favorite Disney songs.

I NEED IT!

Damn you YouTube!

If a video is classified as YouTube Kids it automatically gets comments closed I think.

And most Disney song videos get categorized that way.

So it effectively shuts out adult fans (lots of us who grew up with the movies). From talking and having any discussion about our childhood favorites.

All the Disney Renaissance films from the 90s are movies I grew up with. They're classics and not just for kids.

It's weird to me that they'd relegate them to *just kids" categories.

As the primary demographic that grew up with them are in their 30/40s now.

I get why they may do it.

Just wish it didn't have to be that way.

I'd like to go see people talking about the songs and scenes and stuff. Like on here.

yeah mate, I understand you. But not all people are like you.

There are some huge creeps out there, that's why they had to do it.

Also, if you want to re-watch them, they are all on Disney plus.

i get why youtube had to regulate youtube kids especially after elsagate and predatory comments but why disable comments on songs? i doubt any pedo would be lurking on Aladdin - One Jump Ahead video

Yep, and the toxicity of commenters...

It's sad for older people who remember it without these rules and that we don't get to experience that anymore but it's there to keep kids safe and happy.

We can imagine these happy comments in our mind tho!

But anyone under 13 isn't allowed to have a Google account. They don't even have minor accounts.

They ask pretty hard for proof if they suspect your underage. They had me show an ID or put in a credit card info.

You know, I find it funny people call some songs these days "disney songs" as a way to degrade the songs but disney songs back in the day are better than the things I hear on the radio these days in my opinion. Let us all remember the magic of Disney.
