Is there any group who can sell over 3M albums with just one version and no gimmicks like BTS?

Version don’t affect sales as much as ppl think. It’s just a nice bonus for fans. These group will sell these album even when version are reduced.

I find it weird they don't count digital album sales. It's an album and a sale.

Tbh kpop is more focused on album sales than western artists, yet selling 3M+ with only one (overpriced) version is something only bts can in kpop.

bts & adele are the only ones i can come up with for global artists,

but i'm probably leaving out more locally focused artists from very big countries.

It's cheaper because you're not paying for anything extra, just the music. And since the music industry is about, well, music, it should count. I buy the digital version because I don't really care about the extras and because I don't want to support UPS with 50% of what I'm paying.

But even if it's about the price, you have groups selling jewel cases for 8 usd with the 40% discount and they still count.

BTS almost did that with an overpriced deluxe album. They would have crossed 3M if it was priced normal

I also have to say that it’s also an environmental waste 👀 unlike books which u can donate to library. I’d also rather buy albums digitally.

BE has sold 3.6M with only 2 versions. of which one was released months later with one version being $50 and the other being around $30.

so yeah.....
