Even if Wendy is bi or whatever she still didn't apologize for her 2 racial incidents

  • Like Amber still gets no slack for what she said but it seems people forgotten what Wendy did, which I'm sure you still remember. So you are pretending you forgot. Amber doesn't get cut slack for "I may or may not be het/bi/lez", neither should Wendy IF you scare about that racial offensiveness issues

  • haters: Apologies..

    Wendy:

  • I'm putting things in perspective. I have never hated on Wendy, but I believe it's fair she shouldn't get a "pass" when others don't get it. It's only fair

But what fairness are you asking?? "Oh if one is still getting hate than i want the other to get hate too"?

I'll never accept racist behavior in my life, but i won't preach about hate speech bc yes, this is hate speech. You are saying how one gets hate while the other don't.. unfair? For sure unfair, but you aren't saying others to stop the hate, you are basically saying that if they are hateful with one, then they should be hateful with the other too which yes, this is hate speech at least to me and it's not like you really care for Amber, you are just using her for nothing and still bringing Wendy sexual orientation to the table for nothing too.

So you just revealed something about yourself. You think accountability is the same thing as hate. I'm not in support of the extreme hatred and death threats Amber got for her incident. I even defended her several times. But I do believe it was right for her to respond to the people who respectfully asked her about the issue. There's been radio silence from Wendy about her two incidents, and certain of her fans worked to muffle voices of people who wanted Wendy to respond.

    1. The impression thing was a non issue
    2. Did anyone really think she was gonna tell the hosts who asked her to do them “No”, as if that wouldn’t get her a ton of hate in Korea
    3. This has nothing to do with (the possibility of) her being bi
    4. You don’t care about Amber, you just want to see Wendy get hate
    5. Bringing this up out of no where just goes to show desperation for hate, as I said earlier

I don't think accountability is the same as hate the same way I'm not a judge to punish hate others for inappropriate behaviors having in mind that such mistakes aren't for crucification, they are an opportunity to teach the person how wrong stereotypes like the showed ones are.

So I'm all up for the teaching/learning instead of heavily judging and dragging such bad feelings for so long.

If you want accountability then start looking at your own behavior bc you aren't an example of good human being. You are just someone who isn't "racist".

you're arguing with a known troll, don't bother tbh. dude said i wasn't constructive- he's the one who made this non constructive thread. anyways how are you icon!

According to who? There's a lot of people who that issue with Wendy since 2018

    2. This has nothing to do with (the possibility of) her being bi

That's my point, but some are trying to rework things into Wendy as "fighting for struggles", but if that's the case Wendy should say something about her stereotype incidents IF that's the image her fans try to push for her

I'm not a friend or fan of Amber but I've defended her when she got excessive hate by akp people

    4. Bringing this up out of no where just goes to show desperation for hate, as I said ealier

I'm bringing it up because of previously mentioned narrative about Wendy from certain of her fans

Obviously nobody is perfect but there's a HUGE difference between a regular person and a celebrity who gets paid money to be a public figure and have a wide reach platform that could affect many millions of people all at once. Someone even gave Wendy a nicely written letter to her hand and despite Wendy talking about a lot of other things, she completely ignored this issue. Okay, Wendy doesn't want to say anything about it. But that doesn't mean what she did can be easily erased, especially without any response from her

I do get where you are coming from and i understand what you're saying, but this happened years ago and people bringing it every two months won't make her apologize now. Literally.. People need to learn how to move on.. specially when it wasn't a super huge racist thing, it was a uneducated behavior.

People still get put to task over saying the n-word while they were teenagers. Fu Yaning got hated to hell and back for simply reciting lyrics of some songs that included the n-word, and that's her being Chinese living in China (literally zero education about civil rights and freedom) and not knowing English as her first language. Yet despite all this she didn't get a single cut piece of slack and her Youtube videos got 85% dislikes (also for the "we go up" thing). Just for uttering the n-word without any malicious intent on her part. And I'm not saying Wendy should get this treatment either. However, Fu Yaning was questioned about this and she apologized.

Wendy's case is proportionally more problematic. She wasn't reciting anything. It was all completely from her own head, twice. She didn't just say a word, she stereotypes entire race of people, there's also 3 billion black people in the world. There's been no clarification, is that how she actually feels? Was she just trying to be "funny"? But if she was raised in the west and speaks English fluently, how exactly can the excuse be ignorance? Things become a lot more ambiguous and it's just as likely for her to be very 'ignorant' or she truly believes an entire race to be of this nature.

As we are going in circles bc i don't think we should bring others people past mistakes all the time i also understand that you think differently so let's just say that your point of question is valid, but i still think people should learn to move on and maybe try to see if she changed by her actions. We obviously don't know idols personally, but i think some are good people so i prefer to believe that if there is a change than it's for the best.
