It's pretty high quality so i don't get it. I actually think it is a lot better than twice and red velvet's music and i'm sure most people outside of the kpop bubble feel the same as me.

Different people have different tastes and for some it might be bad and for some it might be great.
Though I don't agree on going around and calling a song/artist music bad just because you don't like it, I do think everyone has different tastes. It is just how humans work.
For example, I don't like a lot of groups music but I don't go around calling their music bad. I would just say it wasn't my taste.
So it is basically that.

Lot of pop music is indeed worth criticizing. Criticism of popular things doesn’t translate to pick me energy.
Lots of times kpop fans hate other groups because they happen to stan rival groups. As opposed to hating it for its popularity. On the opposite kpop fans love a group that’s popular and that they can overrate.
