Is High Quality or Catchiness more important in the KPOP community?

Technically a lot of groups that are nugu are getting catchy songs but do not blow up.
-
To do well on the charts? Catchiness.
For me to listen? High quality.

I like catchy songs.
-
catchiness but then again what i find catchy others migh not and vice versa
-
I’d have catchy song. That’s the reason I got into K pop in the first place, because a song was catchy and some of my favourite songs are ones that fans said were a group’s worst.

I like when a group has a balance between both? a catchy song might be high quality too.. hm its difficult to choose absolutely but i think i listen to what is definied as "high quality" way more than "catchy" but still its so difficult for me to define
-
Quality is subjective whereas catchiness is objective
so catchiness for me
They are singing in Korean most of the time anyway

-
I mean high quality song that is not catchy is just boring.
-
High Quality: Respected
Catchiness: Popular
Also, everyone's taste is different. Ones high quality could be another's catchiness and vice versa.
-
catchy >>>
I can respect the quality of a song and still not enjoy it lol

Catchy song but low replay value will fade fast. But they are the backbone of kpop which is like fast food where groups comeback few times within a year unlike the western artists
I will choose quality song over catchiness. But will listen to catchy songs while waiting for quality songs

High quality music is always catchy, but catchy music isn’t always high quality.
