TXT is about to paving the way for another concept in KPOP

I discovered them a month ago and I’m obsessed.
Plus, I would literally be like six years old if I heard the song when it was first released lmao.
I’m 35 so when I was into jrock I was 18-19…

I don’t even know if half of them is around or now.
To not be off topic that’s one of the reason I like the recent direction txt takes…they said Freeze album is the one where they feel like it’s really their style and the album combines both World I love. Rock and kpop.
Japanese rock groups are really good and it seems jMoa really like this comeback, rock seem to be more popular there then in Korea where rock is not as wild spread.
That being said here is a Korean rocker Taehyun recommended a day ago. I love this song.

I don't think it's a really new concept but HYBE is really smart when managing TXT and their sound. This type of 2000s pop-rock\Pop-punk is becoming increasingly popular in the West(see: Good 4 U for one), so them pretty much hopping on a trend that is becoming more popular among Gen Z as we speak will probably attract more casual listeners. Some companies will probably catch on too so they'll have the bragging rights to say they were ahead of the trend.
TXT really are the Gen Z representatives of KPOP imo, alot of their style, concept and sound represent exactly what's popular with teens\young adults these days.

Rock will stay dead. Good 4 u is the exception that proved the rule keke
This is aimed at the Japanese market which largely is still this genre. My assumption is TXT’s main target will be Japan. Which is extremely smart. Because it is the most important kpop market.

idk I could see that if they had actually promoted Lovesong internationally. Magic was their main focus in the West which I still think was a huge mistake.

I agree, it’s mostly aimed at Japanese market but interesting that the second most streamed country was actually the US.
