I made a thread about this a long time ago and I honestly can't remember what people's opinion was on the topic.
But now that its 2021 do you think Mamamoo (with the help of industry growth) has surpassed Sistar in Asia?
They are both 4 member groups with huge general public support. Both have some big hits and both actually look like women instead of girls. Although Sistar was more "sexy" concept than Mamamoo.
Even though Hwasa is bigger than any one Sistar member I dont think that's enough to put them above Sistar.
We can't forget how big Sistar was in their day. They would be top 5 today easily but back in 2nd gen there was just too much competition. I just don't see how you can remove SNSD, 2NE1, Wonder Girls, Kara, T-ara to include them.
