How come idols respect their seniors and juniors but not fans?

My best guess is just that fans are petty and illogical, make every random groups their enemies and don't like to appreciate the "competition" and other successful acts Maybe take kpop even more seriously than their faves who career actually is at stake when it comes to kpop

because fans can say whatever they want without any consequences unlike idols

Also I would like to assume idols are enough mature to not worry about petty drama

No we are fans, that doesn't mean we can't have different opinions and choices than our faves.

I think Fan comes from fanatic. That would mean someone who supports his fave somehow ruthlessly.

So even if he doesnt agree with his fave, he would at least be quiet to not oppose his fave.

Because we are not supposed to worship our faves. They shouldn't affect the way we feel about other people. Not trying to advocate disrespecting people for no reason btw.

differences of opinion. It honestly boils down to if the idol did anything. Morality is tricky thing. There are obvious situations where it would be wrong to dislike an idol but there's also grey areas. For example a lot celebrities including idols like Justin Bieber and Chris Brown but I can't stand either one of them and that's ok

I was talking about fans generally.

Everyone is like that. But the moment he speak up against his fave he doesnt act like a fan.

Or are there different definitions of what Fan means? Like can he just occasionally support his fave?

For example support his career as an idol but flame his acting career because he likes his singing but hates his acting but should he then consider himself as a true fan of the artist as a person or just as someone who likes his music?

Probably because the way some of them carry on.
