What do you think causes kpop fans to be so hateful and sensitive?

immaturity and/or joblessness for the hateful part. as for sensitivity i think it just depends.

it's not just kpop stans that act this way.

jealousy

That has to do with some people who always like to criticize and some people who don't have a job and hate on certain groups for random things.

People just live vicariously through their favs. So their favs success = their own life success in their eyes for whatever reason.

Too much attachement to the idols on a personal level.

Delusions, obsessiveness and stupidity are the only correct answer.

Probably the insular culture of following a group, trying to make them successful which means fans see other groups as competitors in a zero sum game.

Though I think if the top groups become more successful than Kpop as a whole does and it benefits the genre as a whole.
