I didn't know SM had so many girl groups in the past. Why does nobody talk about this?

Maybe because they only have a short-lived careers. I only know recently Hwang Jung-eum is one of Sugar's members.

They flopped and got wiped from SM history. SM and SM stans barely acknowledge f(x) as is.

Shinvi, Isak N Jiyeon, The Grace, Sugar and Milk arent really acknowledged. Or that Chinese singer they used to have

The Grace made decent headway but SNSDs success was just miraculous

One of the girl groups I recently discovered from sm was the grace and omg those vocals are probably the best I’ve ever heard from any sm group as a whole. It’s a shame they didn’t succeed more because those women had talent

I can't with the comments shading SM stans for not acknowledging or stanning flop SM artists. Most kpop fans became fans starting the 2nd generation, so it's weird why any of you would expect them to know and stan groups that existed and stopped existing before they even knew or kpop.

Mainly people don't discuss groups like Sugar,CJSH the Grace, and Shinvi because their music was pretty subpar is my theory those were pretty dark times for kpop musically.

They were managed by subsidiaries so it’s kinda like gfriend to bighit labels.

Only ‘the grace’ was fully SM group and flopped. Though the members are still working in SM as vocal teachers and theater actresses. There are female dues and solo in SM history but the ggs that were under SM and just SM are: S.E.S, The grace, SNSD, F(X), Red Velvet, Aespa.
