The poll is missing Oh My Girl. Though they may not fit your definition, since they did it themselves, without outside help (specifically from men)
Girls Day love them

I’d put them in the slow and steady success category
Like if you compare Brave Girls to OMG 5 years into their careers there’s a HUGE difference
I’d put them in the slow and steady success category
I disagree. They're large spike of success after Queendom was fairly big. The success of Nonstop and Dolphin were largely unexpected.

I disagree. Their success was more slow and steady rather than an unexpected success. International KPOP fans just weren't aware of their success until they competed against their faves with Dolphin and Nonstop. One of their songs hit #1 on Melon back in 2018 but no one really cared cause they were overshadowed by songs like Bboom Bboom, DDU DU DDU DU, etc. They were at least a top 10 girl group at the time, Queendom just gave them a bigger platform.

Didn't The Fifth Season come out in 2019? Also I don't think the degree of success for Nonstop and Dolphin was expected by anyone.

Yeah but looking at their rate they were growing at, it's not all that surprising. It's not comparable to people like Brave Girls or EXID who were the definition of nugu before they blew up. Like I said, they were always at least a mid-tier GG and Queendom just gave them an extra push.
exid because not just their own success; but they also started the trend for music shows individual fancams because of her viral fancam; so i've heard. if you watch any music show performance before 2015; you only see one performance video for a group. Atleast those days the weaker performers of a group could stay behind better ones. That's why i feel there is more emphasis on dance skills in 4th gen groups.
I like AOA music the best, but were they really late success? I don't know since I come to kpop in 2019
EXID is my favorite group out of these, but Brave Girls has the best story
Girl's Day because I love their songs and vocals the most.
