the way they managed to fit Ningning's highnote, Winter's highnote, Karina's rap, AND Giselle's rap into one short little bridge is just amazing,,, SM ent is a snake, but there are times when their production leaves me in shock

I am already trying to unpack the genres (and sub-genres) I'm picking up in the production and choreo of BM's "13IVI". Def. flavors of Jazz, R&B, Funk, and Go-Go in varying parts across these SM songs.

What makes the "Navis/Beat Drop" song appealing is this; it has the deeper, more seasoned, groove of this batch of SM songs. The "Beat Drop" song's rhythm/groove physically moves me like Gogo songs are designed to do. I posted Chuck Brown's Gogo cover of Sly and the Family Stone's original song, "Family Affair" yesterday which this song is like a love child of.

TVXQ's "Spellbound" is clearly more "big band" jazzy. The saving grace for this song from having little to no rhythmic notes of flavour to feel is the double kick on the last 4 count of 4.

Boa's "Better" is like a cousin to Jason Weaver's "Stay With Me". 90's R'N'B; a pillar of SME's music. Interesting and rich music connections that we enjoy but may not be aware of where the flavour is coming from.

Everything about Next Level is amazing.

I continue to remain hopeful that the “beat drop” portion is a snippet of an actual different song that we’ll get on the aespa album. I want that song.
