I hope people remember Red Velvet and f(x) in a couple of years. Unless RV makes a comeback, they both just fade out of existence. No official disbands or nothing...

It was actually a pretty good song, debuting at no. 5 on the charts, and winning a music show award whithn two months, which was better than most of their contemporaries. Better than the Wonder Girls' and KARA's debut track performance at least. Outsold them too. Definitely a hit, though not a massive one. If MILK hadn't disbanded, this song might have given them a new lease on life.

Are you talking about the section that doesn't cite any sources? Because I can't really verify the claim with that.

ITNW was a decent hit, but its chart performance may be skewed by the fact it was SNSD's debut song, so the public checked it out. It took until Gee for them to really take off.

Honestly, SNSD could've debuted with the Girls' Generation cover and it wouldn't have made much difference except that the song is less likely to be used in protests. The cover actually made it into Gallup's most popular songs of the year but not ITNW.
