Why doesn't someone try an AKB48 set up in Korea?

because Knetz are stupid and don't get idea that usually members would graduate after 9-10 years or even after
when in Korea groups are usually either disbanding fast or after 6th/7th year of contract lol
And then there are the fixed groups like Rania and Nine Muses that randomly added the graduation system out of nowhere that really do not help the issue

It wouldn’t work imo. Fans are too attached to the members to give them a death sentence like that lol. Even if it’s introduced, fans will likely boycott it.
Kpop is pretty different from Jpop in some aspects and it’s because of those differences that rotational groups work much better in Japan than in South Korea.
SM is a company that has been trying to do this for quite a while but never works out. I mean, most recently we saw how Dream graduation concept ended.

AKB system could be iffy. However, maybe some groups could have a graduation system like Japanese groups and keep the name/brand alive. I know Kpop focus on members a lot, but I think brand names like SNSD could be fine with this system. As much we want GGs last with the same line up, most GG member careers as idol will just last seven years on average. Maybe rotate some members every contract cycle. They could refresh concept with new line up as well. I guess this is what SM is doing with NCT, but make it less convoluted and with GGs.

They tried it in 2nd gen with Super Junior and After School but SM decided to keep Super Junior as a permanent line-up.
After School pretty much died after Kahi "graduated" but honestly they should have kept going because FIRST LOVE was AMAZING and at the very least they should have kept going with Orange Caramel but....sobs in Catellena
