I think ALL active idol groups should be able to delay enlistment till after 30

I don't really like the idea of enlistment, I mean are we in the 15th centuary?

From what I heard that SK would stop conscription when they are out of a war. And since the NK-SK situation is only held together by an armistice and not a peace treaty, they're still at war. Someone needs to get that Un fatass down to the DMZ to sign off the freaking peace treaty

It will only end with the unification. China will never let NK fall and the US will never let SK fall. But it's a topic for another time.

All active idol should not delay enlisting

Imo they should enlist before becoming idol. In my country people normally enlist at 19 years old. Would it be bad if you would debut bit later?

I think they should just go, if they are a good group and worthy of their fame, their careers will be just fine after they come back and they will be doing their duty to the country

I think that would be a waste of all their trainee years. They would spend 2 years rusting.

This is also a good option as well! If they join at 18, debuting at around 20 or 21 is still young enough for male idol groups to have a long career!

That actually makes 20 the minimal age. Some will have to be older since not everyone is born in the same year.

I mean I don't really like the idea of forced enlistement, so of course I'm on board.

But also I ain't the government of SK, so what I think doesn't really matter, lol.

They should actually do away with enlistment and instead convert to a volunteer military. Korean demographics are gonna reduce the pool of young male draftees massively. Make the military a professional one where soldiers are paid well, where the shitty ass hazing/abuse is mitigated (there will always be some low level forms of this stuff in every military, or even sports teams or frats for that matter, but make it so the soldiers arent permanently traumatized ffs).

I'm just glad to be born a woman and have to deal with different shit. But I'm thinking making it lawfull for ALL male idols wouldn't work, we would see even more BGs debuting with no hope of success

2 years is too long. Military service is also obligatory in my country. But the longest 1 year and 6 months the shortest

That was how it used to be before the law reduced it ifrc. 2nd gen were going before the age of 30
