If your parents loaded a GPS tracking software in your phone
-

They won't do this because they can't even use social media without my assistance.
-
I could never accept that even if i was a teen
-
doesn't really bother me. it will just show I'm at home all day

i mean i have a life360 app on my phone, and i think its fine bc i do go out and return home alone when its dark sometimes, so like jic smt happens, they'll know. anyway my parents dont rlly check it, there was once i accidentally disabled data access to it, and i only realised it when i couldn't see my parent's location lol(i wanted to estimate when they'll reach my school to fetch me)

well depends on the purpose of the tracking software and the extent of your dependence on your parents for things...
if you come from a strict asian country like i know you do then it might be fine since you have your own phone and with such a privilege may have side effects...if you want privacy or whatever get your own phone...if they won't allow that then speak to your parents about it and if it doesn't work well they're asian parents what are you going to do about it? lol
-
Never go anywhere I shouldn't I guess, so never leave the house
-
If you're living with them, the tracking app can be a nice safety measure. If something bad happened to you that you couldn't make it home, they can find you from your phone's location. If you lost your phone, you can track it via your parent's phone.
Actually, in my country, a woman/girl is advised to have GPS tracker installed in the phone so her family member(s) can see her location and, always call the family member before hopping onto a taxi and ask that person to keep watching if she's being moved to a wrong direction.

luckiy my country values individual privacy pretty much. parents wherever they are from wanted to load that software in kids phones better talk them into it than leave them no says else either these parents need to be educated or this software makes a bad idea and a laughing stock.^^
