That’s literally child labor yikes

it’s like training kids for the Olympics. So is it really child labor if the kids and their parents are passionate about it?

OMG I predicted this!!! In a thread when someone asked what's the youngest age to debut and I said watch when they bring it down to 9 to 10 I wasn't even joking, but people thought I was

They started training with 10 yo and will now debut with 14/15 yo IF the rumors are true. And let's not act like the trainees don't have a choice and are obligated to debut like ??? Oh please, they started training to debut! Logic speaking
Should I give interpretation classes here in akp? I see that this happens a lot

Let's hope, I'm not dismissing talented children, it's very possible, but it's the mental impact they won't be ready for, not that young
-
plenty of idols were 14-15 when they debuted

And I also find this controversial. A lot of olympic champions were drilled into their sports. Although such in this case I cannot talk for everyone but I am against young people debuting in K-Pop and loosing their childhood. The K-Pop industry is not a child-friendly place and also uses the dreams of young people like a lot of entertain industries.

Maybe not if I take your comment at face value

But I saw your quote above and while I also fear for the mental question we could say that even young adults aren't prepared for the kpop world per saying.
The kpop industry is toxic itself, so it's a difficult situation. But if they trained and are prepared they will debut.

Of course, if the K-Pop industry wasn’t know for exploitation I wouldn’t mind it but K-Pop groups are getting younger and younger by the years. Also, especially in the entertainment industry people do not take work safety and laws seriously and use the dreams of young people to blackmail them a lot of times. Trying to fulfill your dream is wonderful but there are so many wolves in that industry waiting for the red riding hood

Yes, but let's hope for a good environment to the girls.
Honestly despite YGE horrible mismanagement towards BLACKPINK, they seem happy with the staff that work with them so I'll assume the girls will be well treated there.
