Not really. It's understandable that they want to compete in the 4th gen market along with ITZY and aespa. However I do think someone other than Teddy should produce for them, if Teddy can't even give proper content to BP and Somi, I don't think he can handle producing for another act.

You debut a new girl group when your current girl group is either flopping, which is definitely not the case, or if you think your current girl group is on its last legs for some other reason.

Time-wise, yes. There's only a 4 year age gap between TWICE and ITZY. Content-wise, absolutely not. Blackpink has 23 songs(not counting JPN versions and remixes.) Red Velvet and TWICE are nearing the hundreds. YG needs to focus on giving Blackpink more music before they even think of debuting a new girl group.
