Everyone has their own tastes. There are plenty of goof kpop groups besides BTS and BP, but I understand that these groups are probably the first ones you stumbled upon.

Well, then that sounds like a “you” thing. You personally don’t like most of kpop, and that’s perfectly fine. That doesn’t mean bp or bts are superior to all kpop or anything. It’s just a personal taste for you and others.

Kind of bold of you to state that “every kpop group is bad”. There’s no way you’ve listened the hundreds out there much less most of their discographies.

There are so many other amazing groups in kpop with really good songs. You just need to look. And if you're in kpop for music you will eventually branch out to discover new music. and if you're not really branching out then 🤷‍♀️

K pop for me started out catchy, but now I’m just getting bored with it as second gen is declining. It’s not as good as it used to be imo, but everyone is entitled to listen to what they want.

I have listened to a lot of groups now and i still stand by my grounds and understand why BTS is popular. Their music is that good. That last sentence in your comment was unnecessary.

Well I can be stuck with 80’s as I was a teenager then and that’s the music I grew up with and always gravitate to. The latest K pop groups do not interest me at all so I will always listen to second gen groups.

I would say a lof of the "Western music" these days are shit boring.... just a bunch of boring solo artists. Very slow tempo.

That is why I like kpop and jpop. But.... Yes, it's not always super quality on the songs in kpop, but many are catchy, upbeat and fun, even if you also have a lot of boring kpop . It's notsecret kpop also is very visual with looks and dance and thats is why I mostly listen to with the MVs. Western music maybe have a higher "quality" in the production, but that don't mean it's more fun. But it's often safe radio music for the people.

Well, yeah, I agree. MVs are fun to watch, but it almost never leads farther than this stage if you try to listen to title without MV.

Not to mention, The songs are catchy as hell.

For example :- Growl, Ko Ko Bop, Love Shot.

Musical masterpieces like Tempo, Forever, Going Crazy, Chill.

Even their ballads like Miracles in December, Universe, For Life are catchy.
