Objectively, only mumble rap songs are trash.

Other than that, The ones in KPOP cannot be called Trash since lot of effort goes into it. You may not like them, it won't make it bad.

A song can be trash for you not for others. Though I'd add that charting isn't equivalent to quality music since so many quality music goes unnoticed by the public due to the imbalance popularity.

Now, ask this to struggling musicians who can hardly make ends meet. Charts, sales, fame, awards, they all matter. These things help musicians bring food to the table. Making music is basically their JOB. In what perfect world are y’all living?

Yes, charting always matters cause it shows either a) gp interest (regardless of song's quality by any standard) or b) fandom's power (again regardless of quality) both are a good thing for an artist and mean money and job. Every artist want to have smth from the above and preferably everything)

Charting does matter because this isn't only about yourselves kids. It's also about the ones who are making these songs. Just because you get music for almost free doesn't mean the ones who do this should be doing it for free.
