Big companies did this too! Very common, and I remember OMG talking about it. I think they had to use an IPad(?) to communicate with their families, and they didn't always get enough time so Yooa(?) got a disposable cellphone and used it to call. I think Big3 groups did it It's sad but I have no clue how it helps.

starship did this to monsta x too. I guess it's common. The monstas would always walk around with ipads on hands

I dont care if its common, its still weird. I know they're busy but id feel very lonely if I didn't have the ability to communicate with my friends and family when I wanted, even being in a group.

I've heard the same thing for many idols. But i don't think they're unable to communicate with their families.

Honestly, people saying it was common shouldn't make it okay now. It was common in the past like with rookie 2nd gen idols because phones weren't a necessity like it is now (it's crazy how many things change).

It is not common now (at least in groups I know). Exo didn't have phones in their rookie days but newer groups from the same company like NCT did because the times changed.

Also aespa even before they got their first win they had cell phones
