1. Dash
4. Know About Me
5. Dice
6. O.O
7. Love Me Like This
edit: There's a big gap between 4 and 5, and almost no gap between 1-4. They got so much better in 2024 it's ridiculous.
Lmaooo same for me ๐คฃ๐คฃ
After #4 i had a really hard time to rank them
I almost just did a top 4
And was going to make #5 a category like " the title track i don't really care about"
But i still tried to play the game
So from #5-#8 they can all switch depending on my mood

Well, I do agree it's better mixed together. Neither part has enough going for them to be fully developed as individual songs. I felt the same way about Clue and Note. Superhero in particular is so repetitive.
I do like O.O. Sort of. But I can understand why people hate it. Like, the opening with Jinni's extremely abrasive rap with the SHOOG SHOOG stuff alone basically dares people to like it.
Which is to say that, despite what people say, I don't think it's the fact that it has a jarring change up which people dislike most of all. I think it's the actual sounds of the songs themselves, the Brazilian funk which was especially unfamiliar to k-pop fans in 2022, the super bright bubblegum guitar pop of the middle section... It's like they're designed to turn people off immediately. Even the lyrics sort of imply that the writers know how unpleasant it all sounds.
Like the comparison with Next Level is that... Next Level just sounds straightforwardly good, there's nothing immediately off-putting about it. Quite the contrary, that opening synth and the "I'm on the next. level." falling on the beat is an instant crack hit. Compared to the beatless droning Jini rap opening of O.O. I bet most people that dislike O.O will still dislike Bailla.

Totally agree
Both songs alone feel so plain and forgettable
But together it create something really good
And yeah weirdly superheroes seems more bubbly and exciting in O.O
THan it does as a fulle song

A lot of people are taken out by the switch
And it was the same thing with Next Level
A lot of people were annoy by the switch during the "bridge" and rap part
THe difference between O.O and Next level
Is just that one become too popular so people switch their mind and become success stan of the song
While everyone was shitting on O.O so everybody felt it was okay to continue
But i honestly find this really puzzling to see how people are praising Gnarly and Spaghetti
But still are against O.O
Cuz weirdly i feel like O.O is easier to digest as a song

I like Brazilian funk in K-pop. Thatโs probably what it is. I love โO.Oโ and โMEOW,โ both of which consist of Brazilian funk.

Yes
But i think i'm not really the public he was talking about
One of my favorite music genre is afrobeats and i feel like brazilian funk and afrobeats are pretty close in term of genre, kinda like some distant cousin
So i'm not really disturbed by this kind of sonority in contrary i would love to see more kpop songs use this kind of influence in it

I will also rank the secondary promoted tracks
1. High Horse
2. Spinnin On It
3. Sonar (Breaker)
4. Cool (Your Rainbow)
5. Rollercoaster
6. Young Dumb Stupid
7. Sickkuh
This is more variable - I only think the latter two are a quality drop, and Sickkuh is a newer track. It's a shame I don't like it. I'm a DemJointz glazer normally and was so happy to have him back with Nmixx after he made Tank for them.
