    None of these songs are topping my charts for 2025.


    This is at least the second year in a row that mid tiers and nugus are outputting better stuff than the top tiers. Sad that they probably won't be rewarded because they didn't come from the right company.

    The Chase is a very good song. I was always shocked when people said the song wasn't a hit because it didn't reach top 5 on Melon


    Strong recovery year for LSF, and nice bounce back for Twice


    Nice numbers for Illit, IVE, and Meovv.

    Here's an example of 2024 streams. It's clear to see there's a major decline. Only 3 songs from the OP would make the top 10 in 2024.

    take jump was released on july 11 so it had only 4 months of tracking data...


    are we looking at absolute numbers or streams per day? per month?

    and obviously as time goes on the numbers will decrease per month relative to something that's relatively newer...

    That's fair, but if we remove soloist from that tweet, then it's still tracking behind 2024. Plus, we don't have a hit song like magnetic or supernova

    That tweet was measured from Jan 2024 to july 2024. We will have to see if the 2025 songs have any legs to see where it lands end of the year. I think Twice and Blackpink songs should have good legs, but unsure about the other songs on the list

    music quality (wise) is subjective - one can listen or like or not listen and not like any song of one's choosing for any reason...

    and thus one cannot compare the quality of one song vs another


    however we can compare the "popularity" of a song vs another based on metrics and Spotify streams is one of them which is what the OP is showing???

    Well, I'm not talking about popularity but of quality. I'm saying 2025 is weaker for top groups in terms of quality. Sorry for the confusion on my part.
