Do you prefer AESPA's Kwangya or newer concept? Why?

Definitely post-kwangya to me. I liked them from debut, but when My World dropped it felt so refreshing to finally see them shed the concept. Then Armageddon showed what was possible with much darker tones.

Kwangya-era was probably peak “SM” style with the gibberish lyrics and quirky songs. There’s probably an evolutionary line you could track through S.E.S Dreams Come True > BoA > f(x) > early Red Velvet > Kwangya Aespa, as being the distinctive “SM sound”, whereas groups like SNSD and Hearts2Hearts sit outside that and have a more traditional sound.

Kwangya stuff was fine, Real world stuff is fine.

I think hardcore fans probably miss Kwangya a bit, but then Real world stuff made them more approachable from a mainstream. I think if they stayed in Kwangya fully they wouldn't have done as well at it could have been less accessible to gen pub

I couldn't care less about concepts, I want good music. Concepts are like the pretty lady alongside the magician. It's meant to distract you.

I liked the concept. I just hated their songs. I much prefer the songs they put out starting from spicy.

I prefer their Kwangya era but it’s more about the songs than the concept itself even if it was fun. I was a causal fan until their Drama era then I stopped caring about the music. It’s not awful but not really my style.
