Twice hasn't really been a true contender since 2018 arguably, but they were still declining from their peak in that year instead of hitting their low point, so I give them that year.
Because I'm looking at years where both GROUPS released new music.
Also BP solos alone completely overshadowed Twice in those years, but I'm okay with discounting solo numbers in a conversation about the overall group
Oh so now MelOn chart matters, even though you specifically and other Blinks here shit on it constantly when NewJeans was sprinting circles and laps around all other girl groups, BP included, on that very same chart.
Some fans can talk about MelOn. Blinks can NEVER do so in my presence. Bunch of damn hypocrites.

Jump performed better than any TWICE song this year in almost every country so nope. Billboard doesnt count Takedown as a TWICE song officially as well (Its a sub-unit song): https://www.billboard.com/artist/twice/
so that didnt really help them else at least we can argue that TWICE had a better year on the US billboard hot 100 than Blackpink
Otherwise we need to really be biased and say pick a few stats and ignore everything else to say that TWICE had a better year. I mean they are doing really well internationally and better than almost all of the top 4th gen ggs so its an achievement on its own

to be fair that jennie song has 2billion streams while the next most streamed song on the soundtrack is "popular" (which played a lot on the radio) with 1 billion streams and the rest of the songs only have like 50M streams. on the other hand the whole kpdh ost is doing well and the twice songs are among the less streamed songs. its a bit different

Huh? D4 is the third most streamed girl group song in MelOn history, behind Hype Boy and Cheer Up. DTNA was nowhere near as successful.

DTNA didn't even outperform Starry Night in 2018, fam. That means it wasn't even a top 3 girl group song--D4, Bboom Bboom and Starry Night were.

They've also been busting their asses this entire time, while BP have been gone for years at a time, making the periods where they're both active intermittent and statistically murky at best.
No, they were claming it was Jennie's hit, which might be the single cringiest thing they've ever done. An actress literally had more lines than her. Even in this very thread, you already got someone calling it "Jennie's song." They have no shame.

Jump is probably their best performing song globally especially in JAPAN and having great longevity in Korea.
