You should check out the songs by "them" and "syh", composed and written by centimillimental (fictional bands from Given, which was adapted into anime, an OVA, and a few films). My pfp is based on one of the characters called Hiiragi Kashima 😉
So can we agree that trot singers are more popular than senior singer in Korea?
I used to follow this chart every day, every hour, every minute. But seeing the horrendous UL numbers made me realize it's just not worth it. When 100k can get you into the top 10 or top 20, it's an irrelevant chart.
The sole use of Melon and Gaon is to predict your faves' potential success as an influencer/endorser within Korea and even then, it's not for every member of your fave group just the most popular tbh.
Aespa and Ive dominated the past year on Melon and you can see the results in how often M**arina, Wonyoung, and Yujin are featured in Korean media and advertisements.
But i dont care about that, i want to see charts reflect a GROUP'S /SONG'S popularity. Spotify and Youtube are pretty much the only charts that matter right now.
So can we agree that trot singers are more popular than senior singer in Korea?
Looks like so. Trot and the adult contemporary (10cm, Hwang Garam and Zo Zazz, etc)
