I was pretty excited to watch this since seeing the trailer, since it's made by the same studio that makes the spiderverse movies and I gotta say it exceeded my expectations. It was a really fun watch, beautifully animated, and the soundtrack is amazing imo. I think anyone would enjoy this movie, but it's obviously elevated even more by being a k-pop fan. If you saw it, what'd you think?

It so well animated and fun
Some genuinely laugh out loud bits like the popcorn eyes and that Tiger. Everytime that Tiger appeared I just f'ckin lost it.
Songs were surprisingly decent as well. Just like any animated musical, the "villain" song, "Your Idol", was the best one.
Oh and besides Twice and MEOVV, what real world kpop groups were referenced?

That was all I noticed as well, and the MEOVV reference felt so random. But it turns out TEDDY was producer on some of the soundtrack. I thought they did the K in K-pop justice, but they could have leaned a lot harder into references and stan culture.

I had very low expectations going in and it exceeded my expectations. I thought it was a fun film and I enjoyed the kpop references. I wouldn't watch this movie in theatres but I thought it was a solid film to stream. I thought the writing could be better, but the characters are fun so it didn't matter much. The animation and art style was very good and I wouldn't mind a mini series set in this universe.
I liked how this song from the kdrama business proposal was in the film
Overall I would recommend this film and I don't think you have to be a kpop fan to enjoy it. I think they picked the right songs for the film.
