  • Okay, this post is just pure gossip but what is going on in the Katseye camp? The Katseye girls went to the Stray kids concert, they're interacting with Stray kids lives and posts.

Interacting with a boy group is a bold move and a non-Hybe one even more unexpected. Katseye don't want to be seen as kpop and they're just doing everything the kpop girlies are forbidden to do.

Honestly, this is a smart strategy although playing with bigger fandoms can backfire. The hate trains are no joke. Let's see if they can shed their kpop skins by doing more unexpected things.

  • It's reciprocal

Of course they would like Gnarly...

  • I have to say, I do find it fascinating how Manon follows (and likes) Hyunjin's IG, but not label-mates she's doing Tiktok challenges with.. it's not like she follows very few people either lol.

It's refreshing seeing a GG free to openly interact with others as they wish. And this does fit with their more open image/approach compared other groups, which is a big part of their selling-point. And I've only seen fans from both sides be happy about these interactions.

Katseye and the way they're handled is intersting for sure.

it's because they are Americans, nobody in America and in the west will be upset with male and female idols interacting. Certain idols had to leave groups because they were caught having a life before debuting (riize guy and illit group for example). Seeing normal interaction between people of different genders shouldn't be something considered refreshing. But here we are.

  • Given their image, it isn't that bold... for them. The boy bands they choose to interact with, that could be a different story. Then again, Hell hath no fury like a Kpop fangirl scorned.

Yeah, I'm more surprised they aren't socialising with txt or enhypen. I guess they don't want people to thinking the groups have been forced by their label. A non-label mate interaction sounds more authentic. Whether it is or not is another story.

Ok but hear me out since it's gossip 👀

Maybe they're linking with non-label groups to tap into new fandoms? Like draw in a fresh subset of fans. Company fans already ride for them so why not vibe with other non-label groups and expand the reach?

They're Americans yes, but the majority of their audience is the same as kpop's. But it seems they really want to not cater to those types of things expected from that audience, which is good!
