It is not wrong to unstan.

However, if the idols did no bad things, I think it's silly when some stans turn to haters and think that makes them cool or something.

I did stop being a fan of some groups/idols, but that was only because they had a long hiatus and my attention waned, or they had several songs I didn't vibe with.

Still wish them the best and check out what they're doing from time to time.

It's just music, not a job. Why should anyone force themselves to be a as big of a fan of someone if they don't make music they love as much anymore?

A lot of kpop fans are quite young and indeed will jump to what's trendy fast. But that's their right, maybe they didn't connect as much with the music as they thought when they were younger, it is what it is.

Its just music and you owe them nothing, also if you reach adulthood and are still going around stanning something please do seek help

Definetly not wrong. Stanning is deeply connected to feeling and taste. We change along the way, change our taste, our phases, our opinions and we do make changes of heart. Unstanning should be seen as a natural experience for fans of all sorts.

Not at all, and it's fine to move on from a group. It's usually hard for a group to maintain fan interest for their entire career. There's usually a point with a group/artist when fans are tired, and want to move on.

There's a multitude of reasons why fans lose interest, but in most things in life we grow out of or lose interest in things. It's normal to lose interest but while you're a fan Just enjoy the content and moments a groups/artists creates because it's nice to be able to hold onto those memories.

I've unstanned a few groups for either good reason or none at all! I want to invest my time in groups I feel a connection to!

Obviously not. There are so many reasons someone might unstan a group and sometimes, it just happens for no particular reason.

I don’t know how old you are, but life can become tough. Sometimes, you simply don’t have the time, energy, or even the desire to keep stanning when your priorities shift.

Honestly, I’m the opposite. I can’t really imagine being that dedicated to a group or idol forever. I’d rather focus on my own life and just enjoy K-pop as a form of entertainment on the side.

I don't understand the logic in stanning a group and if they don't live up to expectations NOT choosing to unstan them. They are music idols. They aren't family, they aren't close friends, etc. There's no unconditional love. There's no reciprocation on their end. It's a one-way street. If a group consistently delivers quality music and content (although I find almost all content boring these days) I'm entertained. If they don't then I kick them to the curb. Maybe I find someone else, maybe I don't.

I unstan if i lost interest in the music and/or the members, or i find they are awful or very stupid.

on the other end of the spectrum did you know there are fansites that force themselves to go to events because they're scared they might fully lose interest in their idol
