As always lol
I mean it has been public knowledge for almost 10 years now that they did not like her behavior. Which now makes a little more sense sadly.
This is all so sad bcs during their active years they seemed like they were in good relationship with each other, I think whatever happened during their disbandment forever ruined their relationship.

I think so too, I think if the rumors of HyunA being sad on TV shows publicly when they were not offered renewals but also refusing to even ask Cube to keep them on with her behind the scenes is true, there likely is a lot of resentment. Then throw in the fact that the other members had subunits and solo releases during 4minute's active years but were never allowed to promote near as heavily as her.
Then you add in all the mess these last few years and Jiyoon saying in an interview she wished HyunA no ill will but that none of the members really could speak to her, it makes you wonder what exactly happened.
Ironically she was not the one most stanned in the group at their peak. She sure had lots of soloist stans but the most beloved member was Ga-yoon who was a well known former SM trainee. Jiyoon after Mirror Mirror era became the most cheered member at music shows and was even featured in many of HyunA's solo works as a writer or feature, when HyunA was just starting solo.
Unfortunately though Cube pushed both to the back and then proceeded to force HyunA into everything and overworked her to the point of hospitalization as they would only allow her to be the face of the group and got upset anytime another member gained more traction as that was not what they wanted. The predebut code name for the group was literally HyunA and some girls at Cube.
Gotta love company interference and all that. I do not blame HyunA for Cube's choices but if it comes out she was demanding things or angry she was not being the most pushed at Cube, like it came out about her reasoning for leaving P Nation, then I might feel differently.
I think though for sure she should have made some different choices in her career as she left a lot of wreckage in her wake for those who cared about her to have to clean up and clean up their own lives at the same time, after she left them behind.

I mean objectively 4minutes was made around Hyuna, irrc before they had official name they were called Hyuna's group. She just exited Wonder Girls, legends in the making, and joined small company like Cube. I think at first they were grateful that Hyuna brought attention to the group, but instead of members growing with the group it was only Hyuna. I think she naturally overshadowed them.
I have a lot agains this Hyuna but she is just too charismatic and attention grabbing, I fear other girls stood no chance. Of course Cube could have been a bit more competent but there is not a lot that could have been done about that gap. They needed 4minutes while Hyuna was the same, with or without the group.
I think Hyuna found herself in the midst of company game, I remember when she was kicked out of Cube, she herself said she supported Cubes current CEO and this is how he returns the favor.

I don't think there was ever a time when any 4minutes member came close to Hyuna in popularity. She was just too successful. I mean, successful but controversial debut, extremely successful comeback with bubble pop and then feautre with THE PSY on gangnam style? And thennnn, extremely successful sub unit? I fear she was just too strong
But yeah, other members also had their potential and among group fans other members also had attention, it just never spread outside of the fandom.
Oh 1000% and I hinted at it in my response to someone else in this thread. I feel like Cube had an agenda and unfortunately, a lot of people got destroyed during it. HyunA kinda just went along with it as far as we know.
Which is a darn shame because to snatch up multiple SM and JYP trainees who had not debuted yet to be in the group with her, and then just to waste them is a shame. Because no offence, I say this as someone who loved HyunA a lot, she does not really have a vocal prowess or singing voice. She has a nice tone and is a good rapper but is not a singer.
I took a dive into 4minute's music (and other content) a few months ago ... "Crazy" and "Hate" are bangers ... but the earlier music is also amazing e.g. "Hot Issue", "Muzik", "I Me My Mine", "Volume Up"... and the silly-ish "Whatcha Doin' Today"! ... I got amazed when I first heard Jiyoon's rap (full of swag) in "Crazy" ... and both Jiyoon and Gayoon are amazing at vocals!
