To be blunt, i think some of you are just looking for an excuse instead of accepting what's really happening: kpop fans can be very horrible online if they find "a weakness". The reason this feels much bigger is because it's not just the typical army-blink twt fight anymore, but kpop fans in general and it's on multiple platforms. Lisa made a few "wrong" moves this era and that's pretty much enough for kpop fans to all join en masse. Even if you go to pro-blackpink/neutral sites, people were pretty harsh about everything she did this roll-out.

To compare, even now there are army/bp solo fans - blinks fanwars about jennie's roll out, but since her album seems to be universally well received, it will just remain as those typical fanwars.

Totally agree, I remember Jimin facing similar hate train when BTS released their solos. When big groups go solo, not only antis but a lot of diet solos from their fandom join these hate train, then we've casual stans who keep on hyping a "certain member" and bring other members down.

there is a very powerful well known company who owns a whole *ss american PR agency to media play against njz (look at reddit for example and even tiktok). they are harrassing this young girls constantly since last year!

People need to get that idols gets s lot of hate, especially the most popular ones. Is that an excuse? Ofc not. But that's how it is. Like someone mention above, jimin is the most bullied male idol. He gets hate from antis and tae and jk's solos. It's brutal. I always say that i hope idols don't read comments. Suga said he doesn't, hope others do the same.

CandyHeart is spot on. Lisa's album received mixed reviews and that gives haters perfect ammunition to attack her. Her Oscar gig pissed off locals too, saying she's an anon who got to perform due nepotism and her billionaire boyfriend. Jennie's album is well received and hating on her might be waste of time. Rose's APT got viral because they like the song+ bruno Mars. No hate train from people and bots would have changed that.

It's the people. People are awful. There are bots too but I've read gazillion tweets from actual people that were brutal and cruel. You have to be special kind of vile to think of that nonsense.

also i never said they aren't sabotaging jisoo, i already made a thread about how suspicious and wierd her melon ranking and even spotify ranking was.

I completely agree that there is a paid hate campaign against her. There's so many signs, including this sudden insurgence of new accounts across social media suddenly attacking her. Some people don't want to accept that it's true because there's a lot of Kpoppies who don't like her and actively believe the hate she receives is justified.

This year she made her acting debut in the White Lotus, one of the biggest shows in the US and there's rumours of her having another acting gig coming soon.

She's also performed on big stages, has over 105m IG followers, the biggest of any Kpop act.

She's the most famous female Kpop idol and her fame is still expanding and let's be honest, there is a specific company who has been known to go after people they think are a threat to their hegemony. Something that's previously been revealed to be true during her contract renewals with YG/Crazy Horse.

She's also an easy target of this hate campaign because she doesn't have a big company to back her up, her own company are silent and don't do anything about it.

At the end of the day she's a SEA woman, who's become one of the biggest faces of Kpop, and asides from her solo stans and a minority of blinks, she has little support against this huge influx of hate that's been directed at her. Hate that's clearly been orchestrated to slow down her fame.

I believe the hate from non-kpop stan accounts is heavily driven by paid-bots and kpop fans who are cosplaying. Maybe there are a few instances where the engagement was mostly real, but the general public is hardly invested in Lisa to really hate her.

edit: I would also like to add that plenty of tiktok influencers and youtubers are jumping on the bandawagon for engagment and money. Lisa has one of the biggest fanbases around the world, if we consider as an individual.
