SNSD were honestly pretty "basic" when they debuted. Perhaps that's what they're going for here. I don't think it will pay off though. Times have changed, and the consumers have very different expectations.

These girls are minors, they will glow up like every other person does when they become older. Also Ian is extremely pretty IMO.
Also the remark about dancing. They are the best gg of SM in terms of dance. And it is not even close. Their synchronisation reminds of Seventeen. They are the most synchronised gg I have ever seen in kpop. Not even Njs or Lsfm are this much synchronised.
So far I didn’t hear any outsanding vocals, so I will give it to you.
They aren’t Nj esque. Their sound is completely different. While you can argue that they have similar concepts, but it will be hard to find many similarities between them, and I don’t think H2H even has a concept yet. Personally didn’t see njs concept in them.
About Basic. Their concept is more or less basic. So I will give this to you too. But we should wait how SM will develop their concept.
Regarding the TT. It grew on me, but it is still worst SM group debut song, I have ever heard. So this was a big let down.

this group is extremely basic and safe so far
the song doesn't hit hard; after giving it a few more listens, it's not as terrible as i thought it was but its missing the punch that stops me from getting bored after 30 seconds.
their concept isn't anything we haven't seen before
and with 8 members the group feels crowded. i don't like that they always have to hide a member in the back.
tbh no one's voice stands out either. it's great that no one has an annoying voice though.
and they should drop the dreamy filter that they have going on with their concepts. it's washing them out; it's an eyesore to look at. we've seen the predebut photos of the members and they look so much prettier.
idk how to feel about this group; on one hand we have people like you telling me about how terrible you and bland you think they are, and on the other hand we have people telling me about how great they are and why i shouldn't question sm's prowess and that they're continuing the linage of sm ggs being huge flops at debut but this one's already successful and won't fail

carmen is cute and seems to have a pretty good voice. she reminds me of yoona too.
that ian girl looks rather charming but she looks like a uncanny karina clone and i don't think we need another karina on the market specially in the same agency, we already got one thriving and shining.
stella looks promising. jiwoo pretty cute but i don't know how talented she is and i find her a bit boring on stage. like i find her prettier than winter, but winter is definitly more charismatic and very talented.
im pretty indifferent to the others, i forgot their faces actually. oh yeah i don't find yuha pretty for a star, her face looks off (no offense), there is their visual as well maybe ana idk but i find her very pretty but also very boring. even more so than jiwoo. i don't think she has the star factor.
i think what stands out to me the most is their lack of charms... i can't think of more than one stan attractor except carmen. and they're eight! damn sm...
and retrospectively, their music seems like some reheated rv/fx bside
. well they're young so who knows they may get better 
.ps: oh and personally i HATE 8 member groups, uhgggg... even 9 is better.

To be honest I had not listened to anything H2H until i've seen this thread.
I decided to give em a try and honestly i'm a bit surprised.
Describing their concept as newjean-esque is kinda true but I don't agree that it's "nothing new". I mean at this point every concept is inspired by another concept that already exists lol as long as it's not a complete rip off I don't really see the issue.
I don't think it's ever really been about who is the MOST talented in this industry as much as it is about who has the better label. There's a ridiculous amount of nugus out there that will NEVER make it because of the lack of funding/support not because of a lack of talent.
As soon as they reach a certain beauty standard and level of dancing & performance proficiency it seems like the MASSIVE behind the scene teams are mainly what make the difference.
Labels seem to be aiming for "good enough" nowadays and not "the best" which is a bit sad , so I get what you're saying. Nobody really stands out but they're good enough and the music sounds really GOOD in my opinion.
Especially their debut "The Chase" I love the dark 808 pattern that plays in the back mixed with the ethereal melody and vocal harmonies. It's a nice mix of light & dark vibes for the song which makes it pretty unique.
Butterflies sounds much much safer and jazzy. Definitely felt like i've heard this song before but it's soothing and well executed, no awkward rap parts or weird beat switches. Just a very vibey and calm jazzy track.
TLDR: They're not that basic & the music is a bit safe but NOT boring. Give em a chance SeulgisAbs

F(x) didn't have a big debut, but they were treated merely as SNSD's quirky little sisters for their entire careers, so that shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

usually after their 1st or 2nd comeback do they gain public interest!I’m actually surprised H2H are steadily rising and Knetz are liking them already! If you compare this to aespa debut Knetz didn’t come around until Next Level! Aespa already had BM and Forever by then and were still being hated/labelled SM’s first flop gg!

no bro i'm not joking. i followed sm ggs very closely since snsd and i don't think im exagerating.
winter was always charming and cute. even during the period when she had to adjust to the girl crush concept (because she wasn't used to it, and their concept change was very sudden).
but i find jiwoo 'boring' even off the stage. you know what, she is a rookie, and pretty young so she has time to improve. but i still don't know if she can sing or not tho... maybe you can tell me more about it.
i just feel like this is the most underwhelming sm gg ever. i remember the insane hype aespa had at their debut...
for rv, they were critisied because there was a lot of stuff going on with fx and snsd at that time and people felt that rv was debuted too suddenly. anyway.

Personally they sound like S.E.S. and what they would sound like if they debuted in modern day.
I personally do not like their songs lyrics and structure despite LOVING S.E.S. but they have a good concept and a list of fantastic songwriters they are working with, so they have the ability to improve.
