The landing gear wasn't working on first approach and they went around to try a belly landing. The bird strike, if it played any role, seems secondary at this point.
That was not I reading and you can clearly see the engine is not doing okay when they land....

What the hell is happening? This Air Canada flight was the 4th incident in matter of days, thankfully only minor injuries in this case.

So sad. Rest in peace to the victims and prayers to the families involved. Also,prayers to the first responders as what they have seen is horrific
