This is correct - I was in Korea, Malaysia, and Singapore a year ago and NewJeans was literally everywhere. No other K-Pop group was even close to their level of media dominance.

When I returned to my home country from US I even saw NewJeans in my hometown on Coke ad billboard

And I’ve never seen any kpop group or idol before in my hometown!

If you lived on the internet you'd think the whole world turned against NJ

I mean, yeah, but you can find many billboards from other groups and Idols everywhere in Korea, too, not just NJ. So, I don't think this proves anything.

As a Malaysian residing around city centre. I agreed with this statement. No one is literally everywhere here except of political leader during an election.

Travelling to another country just to see which kpop group is more popular is surely an insane advice?
